About our Scrim
We sell only grade one scrim, 36 x 36 inch size, overlocked weave with hemmed edges, either unwashed which will require boiling in order to break down the coarseness and remove the oils, or pre-washed which is ready to use.

Maintaining your Scrim
Initially, unless it has be pre-washed, it should be "broken in" by washing on the longest boil wash on your washing machine, with a little detergent. Once in use it will need to be kept clean and washed regularly. Unlike synthetic fibres it can be washed at high temperatures, although in an automatic machine, a 60ºC wash is very effective using a biological detergent.

About our Chamois Leathers
Ours are premium grade, professional quality and finished both sides. We stock two sizes, a full size four square foot and a half size two square foot. They are medium light thickness (1mm - 1.5mm), consistent in colour, with no light patches or holes.

Maintaining your Chamois Leather
Rinse well in lukewarm water with a mild detergent or washing up liquid (not too soapy). Squeeze and wring out in order to remove excess water. Gently stretch out, and hang to dry away from heat and sunlight. Take care not to over dry as Chamois leather gets stiff when it is too dry. If this does happen, it will regain its softness with moisture or on wetting again.
